D-Box Technologies Resumes Installations in Japan With Warner Mycal Cinemas
D-BOX Technologies Inc. (TSX:DBO), a leader in innovative motion technology, announced today that it will resume installations in Japan with the deployment of 32 MFX systems at Warner Mycal’s new cinema complex which is currently under construction in the Tokyo metropolitan area.
These systems were initially sold to Warner Mycal in February 2011 but their installation was then postponed due to unforeseeable natural events. Upon their newly-scheduled installation, these systems will start generating licensing fees payable to D-BOX in accordance with their use.
“We are very pleased to see Warner Mycal resume the installation of D-BOX MFX motion systems. Japan is a very significant and tech-savvy market and these new inroads clearly support our brand internationally.” “We look forward continuing to expand our relationship with Warner Mycal and increasing our market penetration in Asia” declared Claude Mc Master President and CEO of D-BOX Technologies on the eve of the CineAsia trade show which will open next December 11 in Hong Kong.
"Since their initial installation, many moviegoers have appreciated the D-BOX MFX systems, translating into great customer satisfaction and impressive box office revenue" added Millard L. Ochs, President and Representative Director of Warner Mycal Corporation. "We are looking forward to offering D-BOX's unprecedented movie viewing experience to a growing number of Japanese moviegoers."
