Nordic Digital Alliance (NDA) Rebrands as Arts Alliance Media and Strengthens Position in the Norwegian Market
Nordic Digital Alliance (NDA), one of Norway’s leading digital cinema companies, is officially rebranding as Arts Alliance Media (AAM) following AAM’s acquisition of the company in 2011. NDA, originally a joint venture formed by AAM and a consortium of Norwegian businesses in order to roll out digital cinema in Norway and to develop digital cinema advertising solutions, will be known as Arts Alliance Media from today. The Norwegian office of the company will remain.

Unique Congratulates Film & Kino on Digitizing Norway
Unique congratulates Film & Kino, the Norwegian Cinema Association on achieving this historic milestone in world cinema. As the main integrator for the rollout Unique have covered a total of 344 cinema auditoriums, including adding 25 existing installation to the network, installing 258 Christie 2K projectors with Doremi servers as well as 61 Sony 4k systems.

Nordic Digital Alliance (NDA), the joint venture run by Arts Alliance Media and a Norwegian consortium of businesses, has been awarded the contract to roll out digital cinema across the largest region of Norway (the West region), as part of the nationwide rollout scheme run by Film & Kino.

BUG acquires first Doremi digital cinema mastering station in Scandinavia.
Post-production and graphic design studio BUG is the first facility in Scandinavia to acquire Doremi Cinema's DMS-2000 mastering station to create digital cinema movie and advertising files. With Norway having pioneered both the digital advertising and digital cinema markets in Europe, the Doremi system will enable the mastering of content in line with DCI-specifications for the entire Nordic market.

Arts Alliance Media Reaches European Digital Cinema Rollout Milestones
Arts Alliance Media (AAM) has completed two more significant steps in the advancement of digital cinema in Europe. On February 24, 2006, Arts Alliance Digital Cinema (AADC) finished Phase One of the UK Film Council Funded Digital Screen Network by deploying the first 50 screens of the planned 240 screen roll out. Additionally, AAM has formed a partnership with the Kristiansand Digital Cinema Alliance (KDCA) for a trial rollout of digital cinema in up to 10 screens in Norway.

World's Largest D-Cinema Interoperability Trial Starts in Norway
Norwegian cinema trade body FILM&KINO has approved funding for the NORDIC (NORway's Digital Interoperability in Cinemas) project, which will prepare the country for a complete migration to digital cinema, in line with DCI-specifications and future SMPTE standards. The project brings together Norway's leading experts in the field, including on-line ticketing portal Filmweb, the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU) in Trondheim, telecom and pay-television operator Telenor, installation and service company Hjalmar Wilhelmsen and digital cinema advertising pioneers Unique Promotions/Unique Digital, as well as all of the major exhibitors and cinemas across Norway.
