Access Integrated Technologies, Inc. ("AccessIT") (AMEX: AIX) today announced that it completed 2004 having digitally delivered nine major motion pictures and 55 unique pieces of content including
trailers and advertising, employing its digital delivery process. In the fourth
quarter 2004, the company delivered five major studio releases, including many
of the holiday season's biggest box office successes.
AccessIT, began providing digital film delivery in July 2004 after
re-commissioning 28 of the Boeing Digital Cinema systems acquired. These efforts
will be further supported by the company's recent acquisition, FiberSat Global
Services, a satellite services provider based in Los Angeles, California, that
operates as the company's central digital distribution hub.
AccessIT's digital deliveries to date have provided an estimate of 10,500 public
digital presentations of the nine major releases. The company is poised to
benefit from greater adoption of digital cinema in Hollywood and an expected
increase in new projector deployments in the coming year.
"Over the past year we have developed a unique set of solutions that will assist
members of the film distribution and exhibition industries as well as hardware
vendors supplying those industries in making the transition to digital." said
Bud Mayo, President and Chief Executive Officer of AccessIT.
"Our growing list of digital distribution customers demonstrates that AccessIT
is emerging as the leading courier and solutions provider in the digital era. We
are well positioned for growth from the various digital projector roll-out plans
that are under development," he added.
