Rob Springer Joins Cinedigm Software; Susan Wells and Pamela Kelly Elevated to Sr. Vp
Cinedigm Digital Cinema Corp. (NASDAQ: CIDM), the global leader in digital cinema and theatrical technology solutions, announced today that Rob Springer has joined the company’s software division as Senior Vice President and Product Manager of Distributor Solutions. The software division also announced the promotion of Susan Wells to Sr. Vice President and Product Manager of Exhibitor Solutions and Pamela Kelly to Sr. Vice President and Product Manager of Content and New Initiatives.
The organizational changes, announced today by Jim Miller, President of Cinedigm’s Software Group (previously known as “Hollywood Software”), along with the addition of Larry McCourt, who joined Cinedigm in April as Senior Vice President of Software and Sales Marketing, are designed to refocus the company’s product development strategies and resources for improved client responsiveness and rapid product expansion including the introduction of new web-based technologies. Each of the restructured CSG product lines – Distribution, Exhibition and Content - will be led by an experienced Product Manager with complete responsibility for determining and executing the company’s product vision.
Formerly Senior VP of Sales Operations at Overture Films, Rob Springer joins Cinedigm from Relativity Media where he was Senior VP of Technology. As Distribution Product Manager, Rob will be responsible for working with the company’s studio and distributor clients to elevate and expand the company’s software solutions, including the TDS Theatrical Distribution System and TDS-Global, the worldwide distribution platform.
A former executive at Paramount Pictures and The Disney Channel, Susan Wells is a 12 year veteran of Hollywood Software, which Cinedigm acquired in 2003. During this time, Sue was integral to the success of many of the company’s products. As Exhibition Product Manager, Wells' technical background and experience will guide Cinedigm's exhibition product line, which includes the EMS Exhibitor Management System, the digital cinema solutions Theatre Command Center and Enterprise, and the Cinesuite media management applications.
Content Product Manager Pamela Kelly, joined Cinedigm last year as VP of New Initiatives, where she guided the launch of the company’s new web-based platform, Cinexchange, among other projects. Her new role as Content Product Manager will expand her responsibilities to also provide solutions for Cinedigm’s Content Group, while continuing to both envision and oversee new Cinexchange initiatives.
"We are very lucky and excited to have these smart, experienced and well qualified individuals playing such important roles as we grow and expand," said CSG President Jim Miller. "The theatrical and content industries have experienced significant change over the past few years, mainly due to the transition to digital technologies, creating significant opportunities to integrate and automate the industry-wide business process. Cinedigm Software is positioned and committed to providing the solutions that will move the industry forward.”
