Harkness Screens Launches Free Digital Screen Planner App for IOS and Android
Harkness Screens the world’s leading screen
technology company and thought-leaders in on-screen brightness has launched its
fifth tool in the Digital Screen App family; the Digital Screen Planner.
Aimed at architects, engineers,
installers and exhibitors, the Digital Screen Planner from Harkness Screens is
a free utility for iOS, Android and available via the Harkness website. The tool allows those specifying cinema
screens to carry out complex mathematical calculations quickly and accurately.
From physical screen curvature and tilt
through to specifying the physical sheet size, the Digital Screen Planner is an
ideal tool for ensuring that these key construction design elements and the
actual screen specified are correct prior to the project, helping to prevent
potentially costly on site delays or mistakes from occurring.
“We’re frequently asked by our customers
to assist them with complex mathematical calculations to help with the
specifications of screens. At times
these can become extremely complicated when considering the effects on curving
and tilting a screen can have both on auditorium geometry and on correctly
specifying the correct screen size. We
wanted to help share our expertise and empower the cinema industry in these
very complicated areas and we believe with the Digital Screen Planner app we
have achieved this,” explains Richard Mitchell, VP Global Marketing &
Commercial Development at Harkness Screens.
The Digital Screen Planner
app is available at no cost now via the Apple App Store for both iPhone and
iPad and also on Android devices.
