Film technology is set to take centre stage at the 20th IIT
Techfest 2016, Asia’s largest science and technology festival, with leading end-to-end digital cinema
manufacturers, Qube Cinema, as Digital Cinema Partner. The festival runs 16th
-18th December.
Drawing on decades of experience in cinema technology, Qube Cinema Chief Technology Officer, Rajesh
Ramachandran, will be presenting a talk on ‘Technology Drives Cinema’, providing the expected 165,000
delegates attending with an in-depth insight into the future of digital cinema technology.
Rajesh Ramachandran will be presenting at IIT Techfest on Saturday 17 December, 2016 from 11am to
12pm.
Ramachandran said: "Digital cinema technology has advanced incredibly over the past several years to
become a formidable force in the film industry. Festivals like IIT Techfest allow technicians to better
navigate this new landscape, by continuing to nurture innovations, talents, technologies and cultures on
a global level.”

Qube is also the presenting partner for Rakesh Sharma's keynote at Techfest, IIT Bombay. Ashok Chakraawardee
Sharma became the first Indian to go into space when he flew aboard the Soyuz T-11, launched
on April 2, 1984, as part of the Intercosmos programme.
Delegates can also look forward to a Qube Cinema presentation of TVF Tripling, which will bring together
the team behind the blockbuster web series.
