QuVIS Preferred Digital Cinema System Provider to Venice Film Festival
QuVIS, Inc., renowned for its benchmark image quality, is pleased to announce that their Digital Cinema System is the preferred digital mastering and playback system for the 63rd Venice Film Festival. The annual event, organized by the Venice Biennale, will be held on the Venice Lido from August 30th to September 9th, 2006.

The aim of the Venice Film Festival is to encourage the awareness and the promotion of international cinema as art, entertainment and industry. Consistent with trends worldwide, an increasing number of films will be shown digitally at this year’s Festival. The Festival will feature 30+ digital screenings from a wide variety of formats, mastered and presented using the QuVIS Digital Cinema System. Impianti Televisivi Cinema, QuVIS’ Authorized Distributor in Italy, will assist with the mastering and playback services.
As part of QuVIS’ ongoing effort to promote Digital Cinema, including 3D, Mr. Scheckel will provide a presentation at the Festival convention entitled Digital Cinema and 3D Stereoscopic Films: Opportunities for Art and Business. The convention is organized by SMPTE, in collaboration with Venice Biennial. This is the second consecutive year QuVIS has presented at a Festival convention.
QuVIS has provided the digital cinema mastering and playback systems for production companies, post houses, and theaters since 1999. QuVIS has also provided presentations at high profile demonstrations and seminars promoting the leading edge technology, including presentations at this year's ShoWest and NAB.
