Digital premiere of Beowulf will go on 24 Russian digital screens in digital and DIGITAL 3D
Beowulf in digital will hit 24 Russian digital screens on November 22, 2007. Sites equipped with DIGITAL 3D technology will premiere 3D version of long waited picture.
Beowulf is the first 3D digital movie to be presented in commercial digital cinemas of Russia, and it is 22th digital movie for 2007. 25 digital movies have been released and planned for screening on Russian digital screens in 2007, including 6 local productions (digitally mastered by Nevafilm Digital Lab).
By the date of Beowulf premiere the number of digital screens in Russia will gain 25 screens, including 22 with DIGITAL 3D opportunity. 15 screens will be equipped with NuVision 3D systems (sets of Christie projector + Doremi server or NEC projector + Dolby server), and in 7 screens Dolby 3D will be installed (set of Cinemeccanica projector + Dolby server).
Cinema Park circuit is Russian leader in the digital cinema equipment installation. By November 22 it will include 7 digital screens. Cinemeccanica CMC3 D2 projectors and Dolby servers are installed in all its digital cinemas.
Among the other networks are Kronverk Cinema (2 digital screens), CARO film (2), Lyuksor (2), Formula Kino (1), Imperia Igr/Game Empire (2), Interkino (2), Planeta Razvlecheniy/Planet of Entertainment (2), and Illuzion (1). Independent cinemas open digital screens as well.
