NEC Solutions America Delivers STARUS Multiplex-Wide Digital Cinema System to Theatres

projectors; STAR*Cor Multiplex servers and software; and STAR*Show screen
servers. The multiplex-wide digital cinema system deployment is the first and
only complete solution available from a single vendor for theatres.

connectivity, exhibitors can now eliminate transporting hassles, and guarantee
continuous visual clarity to their audiences. NEC designed its digital cinema
system to deliver simple playlist management and seamless integration at a
competitive price. Theatre managers are able to meet the National Association of
Theatre Owners (NATO) requirement of transferring 2-hour movie files within
15-minutes.

conjunction with the STAR*Show screen server delivering unprecedented

Flexibility of STAR*Show Screen Servers
The NEC STARUS system includes the NEC STAR*Show digital cinema screen server.
Designed for easy installation and manageability, STAR*Show comes standard with
configuration software and a suite of software tools to monitor, analyze and
manage server performance. NEC is providing a scalable server unit that can
seamlessly grow into a multiplex-wide solution without the need to replace the
unit itself.
Brilliance of STAR*Beam DLP™ Projectors
As part of the multiplex-wide system deployment of the NEC STARUS system, NEC
Solutions America is introducing a line of STAR*Beam DLP digital cinema
projectors. The STAR*Beam iS8 projector and STAR*Beam iS15 projector are Texas
Instruments(R)-licensed projectors with DLP "dark chip" technology. NEC is one
of only three manufacturers with the rights to incorporate cinema-grade DMD™
