Really Simple Syndication (RSS) is an XML-based format for content distribution. DCinemaToday has developed a series of RSS feeds for use in news readers and can be incorporated into external web sites. For example, your web site could have an area displaying the latest news. These feeds include headlines, summaries and links back to DCinemaToday for the full article. RSS feeds are free. DCinemaToday currently uses RSS 2.0 and is subject to change without notice.
Requesting the above page sends a raw XML file that can be formatted by most browsers and news readers that support RSS 2.0. In addition, you can easily add the latest DCinemaToday news to your iGoogle start page, or any other page that integrates RSS feeds. The file contains the last 12 months of headlines and news summaries appearing on DCinemaToday. Note that the XML has been extended to include participating company logos, names, and URLs that and optionally be displayed using custom code.
As an alternative to dealing with the raw XML data, we have developed this RSS Integration Tool to provide an easy way for web site developers to include news from our participating companies into their web site. The tool provides simple formatting plus the ability to include (or exclude) selected company's items from the news feed. For example, an equipment dealer may choose to display news only from the companies they represent.
