Cinionic and Cineplexx Introduce the First All-Laser Theater Chain in Austria

Cinionic drives the renewal wave in cinema worldwide with Barco Series 4 and award-winning Laser projectors
Cinionic, the Barco, CGS, and ALPD cinema joint venture providing a new visual standard with enhanced services and technology solutions, announces a strategic relationship with Austrian cinema chain Cineplexx (Cineplexx Kinobetriebe GmbH) and CinemaNext, the European specialist in cinema exhibitor services, to power the first all-laser theaters in Austria.

Cineplexx will deliver an elevated movie-going experience for Austrian patrons with the installation of the all-new Barco Series 4 and industry leading Barco Laser portfolio from Cinionic. The first all-laser theaters will deliver exceptional projection quality with bright, vivid color and depth across all formats.

In close collaboration with CinemaNext’s Austrian company, Cinionic will roll out its enhanced services and all-laser solutions with Cineplexx over the next three years.

About Cineplexx International GmbH: In 2009, the Cineplexx International GmbH started expanding to Austria's neighbouring countries and the first cinema outside Austria was opened in Bolzano, South Tyrol. Cineplexx also took over a cinema in Zagreb’s city centre, thus laying the foundation for expansion into Croatia. Further Cineplexx cinemas followed in 2011 and 2012 in Croatia, Serbia, Montenegro and North Macedonia.
