Leading cinema software company Arts Alliance Media (AAM) has today announced the appointment of two new US-based Sales Managers to handle sales to exhibitors throughout North America. Mark Kamiyama and Peter Kim will be working throughout America and Canada to bring AAM’s market-leading software to cinema owners of all sizes.
Mark Kamiyama, who has been working with AAM since June 2015, joined the company from Callahan Digital Cinema where he managed direct sales and reseller relationships. Mark’s previous experience includes 7 years with Cinedigm Digital Cinema, whereas Vice-President of Digital Cinema, he was responsible for the sales of software to exhibitors throughout North America, as well as negotiations of VPF agreements for the deployment of digital cinema. Mark also has extensive experience of being a panel expert on the subject of digital cinema deployment at numerous NATO and regional conferences.
Peter Kim brings over 17 years’ experience of sales and project management to Arts Alliance Media, most notably with GDC Technology of America, where he was responsible for helping theatre owners across the USA transition to digital cinema. Peter’s areas of specialization include helping customers reduce operational costs and improve workflows, as well as creating supportive relationships with clients.
Mark and Peter will be focusing on taking AAM’s Producer (circuit management) and Lifeguard (hardware management) software to exhibitors. Both products enable centralization of operations for a cinema circuit, bringing increased control and flexibility, and freeing up significant staff time at sites to focus on customer service.
Mark Kamiyama, Vice President of Sales, North America and India, Middle East and Africa, commented: “I’m excited that AAM not only has solutions that can help exhibitors save a significant amount of money, but also provides an avenue to leverage their existing digital cinema environment to help generate additional revenue. Our digital environment is evolving and AAM is leading the way.”
Peter Kim, Director of Sales, North America and Asia, added: “I’m looking forward to helping cinemas be the best they can be at customer service. It’s clear there is a need for solutions which take away some of the burden of repetitive digital cinema processes and enable cinema managers and staff to get back to what they do best – providing exceptional customer experiences. I think that’s what’s really going to make the difference in the industry in the next few years now that the digital transition is largely done.”
Eric Stevens, Commercial Director of Arts Alliance Media said of the appointments: “Peter and Mark are terrific additions to the AAM family. Together we will educate the market on how our systems are already helping the best exhibitors around the world, including Wanda Cinema Line and Cinépolis, stay head of the curve and offer their customers a better experience. They will also be key to our new initiatives launching at CinemaCon - watch this space."
Mark Kamiyama and Peter Kim will both be attending CinemaCon (April 11-14) with Arts Alliance Media.
