Arts Alliance Media (AAM), the global leader in digital cinema software and services, has agreed a new software partnership with the celebrated Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF), the world’s largest public film festival, enabling Lifeguard and Screenwriter to monitor and optimise all hardware, consumables, and screenings.
Delivering 400 films across an eleven-day period, TIFF offers a global audience the chance to enjoy screenings, lectures, workshops, and meeting opportunities with filmmakers, to present the best of international and Canadian cinema.
To help assure smooth and error-free operations, TIFF has selected Lifeguard, a centralised hardware management system, to monitor all network-wide devices and prevent potential faults ahead of time. Screenwriter, meanwhile, will monitor all the festival’s screens from one central point to ensure comprehensive content and screen visibility.
“As we celebrate the 48th edition of the Toronto International Film Festival, we remain committed as ever to providing an engaging cinematic environment to experience this year’s outstanding films”, said Diane Cappelletto, Director of Technical Production at TIFF. “By working with Arts Alliance Media, we’re able to rely on years of expertise and solutions that facilitate simple, trouble-free operations.”
Lifeguard presents exhibitors and festival organisers with their own NOC solution, helping to identify issues early by measuring hardware performance, enable detailed visibility through meticulous device monitoring, and gain additional intelligence from over 30 operational reports.
While Screenwriter, a solution responsible for scheduling features, trailers and advertisements, monitoring screens, and controlling playback for over 43,000 screens worldwide, enables cinemas to centralise their daily workload, allowing site-level staff to focus on audience facing positions.
Peter Kim, Global Sales Director at Arts Alliance Media, added, “to be selected as TIFF’s trusted software provider for this landmark event symbolises both the power of our solutions and confidence we instil in our partners.
Lifeguard allows film festivals to actively work to prevent showstopping issues and reduce lost revenue, while Screenwriter has proven success in managing high-profile events.”
