Multi-Platinum Artist Fall Out Boy to Be Broadcast in Digital Cinema to Theatres Nationwide
Live for One Night Only on January 18 Tickets Available to Fans in 31 States
Cinedigm Digital Cinema Corp. (Cinedigm) (NASDAQ: CIDM) and AEG Network LIVE announced today that they are teaming up to bring pop phenomenon Fall Out Boy to theatre audiences around the country for one night only on January 18th, 2009. The nationwide digital cinema broadcast will be transmitted in HD via satellite and will include a LIVE introduction from the band as well as an exclusive worldwide premiere screening of the multi-platinum Island recording artist's December 16 live concert produced by AEG Network LIVE from the Nokia Theater in Times Square.
Fans in 31 States can buy tickets to the live digital cinema broadcast of "Fall Out Boy LIVE - Folie a Deux NYC to LA presented by Nokia," which will be shown at approximately 80 theatres in theatre chains such as Carmike Cinemas, Celebration Cinemas, Cinema West, Emagine, Galaxy Theatres, Marquee Cinemas, MJR, NCG, Rave Motion Pictures and Showcase and UltraStar Cinema. Multi-platinum Island recording artist Fall Out Boy performed a live 90-minute concert at the Nokia Theatre Times Square on Tuesday, December 16 coinciding with the release of their fifth studio album titled, "Folie a Deux." This event was also simulcast on multiple LED screens at the Nokia Plaza in Los Angeles at LA LIVE for the first time ever. The sold-out performance rocked the house with fans enjoying such tunes as "I Don't Care," "Sugar, We're Going Down," "Dance, Dance," and "This Ain't a Scene, It's an Arms Race."
Fall Out Boy's new release "Folie a Deux" hit stores on December 16. The multi-platinum band has built up a loyal following through relentless touring; they have performed over 1200 shows since their inception in 2000. The band's 2007 release "Infinity On High" debuted at #1 on the Billboard 200 albums chart and followed-up "From Under The Cork Tree," their Island debut of May 2005, which spent 72 weeks on the Billboard 200 albums chart. They have won three MTV Video Music Awards and have received a Grammy nomination as well.
