SmartJog, the global leader in managed digital delivery services, announced new additions to its Digital Cinema sales team in Europe and North America. SmartJog is also pleased to unveil that during the last year it doubled the number of theatres connected to its satellite network in Europe and now delivers DCPs to 309 cinemas in 9 different European countries. Over the next few weeks, SmartJog plans to deploy an additional 80 sites throughout France, Germany, Belgium, Spain, and Portugal. European distributors will benefit from a true Pan-European delivery platform.
Digital Cinema Sales Team expands in Europe
The new three team members will concentrate efforts on promoting the growth of SmartJog’s digital cinema solutions in Germany, Spain, France, Benelux to theatrical distributors, exhibitors and service providers and are reporting to Nicolas Dussert, Director of European Theatrical Sales for SmartJog.
In charge of promoting SmartJog in German-speaking territories, Ursula Reber has joined the SmartJog team as Theatrical Sales Manager, DACH. Ursula will be based in Berlin. Before joining SmartJog, Ursula published market studies on the economics of digital cinema in Europe and the roll-out in Germany. She was a consultant for various companies globally specializing in digital cinema and digital production in Europe.
Responsible for expanding digital cinema services in Spain and Portugal, Anna Fernandez joins SmartJog as Theatrical Sales Manager and will be based in Madrid. Before starting at SmartJog, Anna has spent years working in the audiovisual sector, from production to exhibition, concentrating in all types of genres. Anna later went on to consult in the field of audiovisual marketing and financing for multiplatform European coproduction projects.
Melodie Hoppenot joins SmartJog as Theatrical Sales Executive and will be based in Paris. She will concentrate on building lasting relationships between SmartJog and its customers in France and Benelux. After working as production assistant for audiovisual production companies, Melodie spent a few years working for Pan-Europeenne as marketing and communication manager in charge of developing promotion tools dedicated to distributors, co-producers and financial partners for French and foreign territories.

Digital Cinema Sales Team expands in North AmericaThe Digital Cinema and Theatrical sales team is also growing in North America with the addition of Ruby Dease to the newly created position of Senior Account Manager. Ruby will be responsible for key Studio and post-production accounts in Los Angeles, with a focus on expanding the use of SmartJog for the transfer of digital cinema content from the US to certain key international territories including South America, Asia, Australia, India, Canada. Dease was Global Account Manager at Ascent Media prior joining SmartJog. She started her career in the entertainment industry at Technicolor Creative Services, where she became an Account Manager, Studio Services, overseeing post-production deliverables for 3 major Studios for international markets. Ruby will report to Christiane Ducasse, Senior Director of Sales for SmartJog USA.
Over 200 feature films and thousands of trailers have been transmitted via satellite to cinemas via SmartJog since 2009. The number of connected digital cinema service providers, mastering facilities and distributors connected and sending DCPs through the SmartJog network has grown to 109 companies in 29 countries.
