FTT Strengthens Co-Operation in Belarus
The company acquired 20 percent of the shares in JV Kraftwerk Weißrussland COOO
Having been active in the Belarusian market for many years, FTT now announced the purchase of 20 percent of Kraftwerk Weißrussland COOO, an affiliate of the Austrian company WELSKRAFT Technology Holding GmbH headquartered in Wels.
Based in the Belarusian capital of Minsk, Kraftwerk Weißrussland aims at further developing the national market presence as Thomas Rüttgers, Managing Director of FTT, confirmed: “This strategic co-operation allows us to enhance customer visibility on this fast-growing market while being able to provide extensive customer service and advice.” Rüttgers said that the business relationship built up over the years had shown that Kraftwerk Weißrussland was an excellent partner with extensive know-how in the audiovisual market. “They have committed themselves to giving D-Cinema an excellent start”, as Rüttgers puts it.
For Aliaxandr Handogin, Managing Director of Kraftwerk Weißrussland, the future for D-Cinema in his country looks promising: “When we did the first digital 2k installations together with 3D for the release of Avatar in 2009/2010 we have seen how enthusiastic people reacted towards this new technology and that it really can move forward the cinema market in our country. FTT have supported us from the very beginning and we are proud that they now wanted to invest in our company. Handogin stressed that this showed that they both shared the same visions and one believed in the work Kraftwerk Weißrussland had done so far.
Among the most prestigious projects that both companies carried out recently are the D-Cinema installations at Palace of the Republic in Minsk.
