Cinelive Grows 50% in 2012 and Project Presence in 250 Cinema Complexes until the end of 2013 in Brazil
Pioneer in broadcasting digital content via satellite to Brazilian cinemas, Cinelive grew 50% in 2012 by implementing their technology in 120 cinemas throughout 41 Brazilian cities. The goal for 2013 is to reach all 250 complexes in operation and guarantee presence in 100% of the digital circuit by 2014.
Responsible for broadcasting all live performances and sporting events in Brazilian theaters, Cinelive has sold over 200 thousand tickets for this type of attraction.
In 2012, Cinelive began operating a new DCP (Digital Cinema Package) distribution system via satellite. The technology provides savings in material shipping costs, reduces the distribution time, secures against piracy and allows flexibility for film scheduling in all cinemas. “In 24 hours, a film is distributed to all the complexes in the country that have the required technology” explained Laudson Diniz, Cinelive Executive Manager.
