Arts Alliance Media Announces First Major VPF Deal in Latin America with Cineplanet

Over 200 screens to also use Arts Alliance Media’s TMS software
Following the announcement in 2012 that Arts Alliance Media (AAM) had agreed VPF deals for Latin America with major US distributors, the company has become the first to announce a major Latin American VPF deal, with Peru’s leading chain Cineplanet agreeing to rollout digital to over 200 screens across Peru and Chile under AAM’s VPF program in association with Latin American integrator Quanta-DGT.

The deal will also see AAM’s Theatre Management System (TMS) software, Screenwriter, being installed on Cineplanet screens to automate operations and unlock the real benefits of digital cinema through features such as intuitive playlist creation, automated scheduling and comprehensive content management.

Fernando Soriano, CEO of Cineplanet, said of the deal "After a thorough analysis of all the VPF solutions offered in Latin America, and several trials of hardware and software, we selected the AAM-DGT VPF program as the best solution for our digitisation. In addition to their know-how and experience in digital cinema, we know that they offer the best tools and software solutions so that we can rely on them to help us bring the best experience to our customers for years to come"

Eric Stevens, Commercial Director of Arts Alliance Media, commented “We at AAM are enormously proud to be working with Cineplanet, one of the region's premier exhibitors.  The Latin American digital cinema conversion is now most certainly in full swing."

Guillaume Thomine-Desmazures, AAM’s Senior Sales Manager, added “We have been working with our Latin American partners DGT and Bardan for a long time establishing the best digital cinema solution for the market, and we’re delighted that Latin America is moving forward with the transition, and very proud that the leading independent chain has chosen AAM’s VPF and TMS software to make the transition with.”

The rollout will begin in January 2014, and will see Barco projectors, Doremi servers and central equipment from Bardan being installed by locally-based Bardan engineers.

Arts Alliance Media will be at Showeast from 21st October – 24th October, at booth #409, where the company will be demonstrating its digital cinema software products, including Screenwriter (Theatre Management System, TMS), Producer (enterprise TMS), Locksmith (KDM management software) and AdFuser (digital cinema advertising management).
