Arts Alliance Media Lands Further Digital Cinema Deals in Latin America

Adds Uruguay to Region’s Digital Cinema Rollout

Arts Alliance Media (AAM), together with Latin American partners Quanta-DGT and Bardan, has signed three deals for digital cinema rollout in Uruguay, increasing the company’s footprint in the expanding Latin American digital cinema market.

Arts Alliance Media and Quanta-DGT have Virtual Print Fee (VPF) deals with the Hollywood studios to convert screens across Latin America to digital, and have added Uruguay to the list of existing countries covered by the agreements. The exhibitors which have signed up to the deal are Movie, Life Cinemas and Grupo Cine, with 61 screens between them across Uruguay. All screens are already installed with digital cinema projectors, but will be brought under the AAM/Quanta-DGT VPF scheme, and central rack equipment will be supplied and installed at each site by Bardan.

Under the deal, each exhibitor site will be equipped with AAM’s Screenwriter TMS (Theatre Management System) to manage content, playlists and scheduling across all screens. Over 20,000 screens worldwide already use the software to automate their processes, saving time and increasing accuracy. To provide equipment monitoring and support, Bardan will provide a full NOC (Network Operations Centre) service to Movie, Life Cinemas and Grupo Cine.
