D2 Launches its New DCP Duplicator ‘DCP360’
As digital cinema & post production technology company, D2 is offering since years DCP software solutions and DCI projection equipment. Our experience during Film Festivals like Venice has made us understand better the needs of both post production facilities and exhibitors.
All too often distributed DCPs do not pass minimum quality standards. DCPs do not always respect the agreed standards and they come on slow and consumer quality carriers. A reason to develop a new CRU related product.
Today we launch an affordable, modular and fast DCP duplicator based on the CRU carrier standard. The basic 19inch rack unit comes with 2 internal & 2 external master disks, duplicating onto 8 slave CRU disks. Customers can extend the capacity by adding slave units (8 CRU disks per unit). One master unit can be extended to 24 slave CRU disks. Several master units can be linked.
The DCP360 duplication software that comes standard with each DCP360 duplicator, supports batch processing of disk health checks, formatting (EXT2/3, NTFS), duplication, verification processes. The software also allows the 4 masters to be duplicated to a selection of the available slave CRU drives, making it a very flexible solution for production of small batches.
This product is an added value for post-production facilities, distributors, DCP delivery companies and large multi-site exhibitors.
