The International Cinema Technology Association is a global network of professionals in the motion picture industry. The Inter-Society for the Enhancement of Cinema Presentation, Inc. promotes interactive dialogue and information exchange between cinema-related entities with the goal of resolving issues affecting the overall cinema presentation. RealD Equips First Screens in Kazakhstan with RealD 3D

New Installs to be Across Chaplin Cinema Circuit
Global 3D and visual technology company RealD Inc. (NYSE: RLD)announced today that it has entered the Kazakhstan market for the first time after securing a deal with leading cinema circuit Chaplin Cinemas. The agreement will see RealD’s premium 3D technology installed in seven cinema screens across Chaplin Mango Cinema (two screens) and new flagship multiplex, Chaplin Mega Park (five screens), with the first of the screens expected to open later this month. 
 
Chaplin Cinemas is Kazakhstan’s fastest developing cinema circuit, with six cinemas across the country. With Kazakhstan’s economy growing, and box office revenue across Central and Eastern Europe projected to exceed $2 billion for the very first time in 2014, RealD is looking to capitalize on a rapidly growing market.
 
Robert Mayson, Managing Director of RealD Europe commented, “Eastern Europe continues to be a growth market, with 3D total box office revenue rising from $417 million in 2012 to $532 million in 2013. Kazakhstan has the potential to contribute to these figures and RealD is committed to meeting this demand for quality 3D cinema in the region for years ahead.”
