Christie Demonstrates Capabilities of RealLaser RGB Pure Laser Cinema Projectors at BIRTV

Christie’s RealLaser™ RGB pure laser cinema projectors, chosen by cinema leaders and filmmakers globally, will be shown at the Beijing International Radio, TV & Film Exhibition (BIRTV), taking place at the China International Exhibition Center, August 21-24.

“The new standard for cinema exhibition is affordable RGB pure laser, and with our expanding range of cinema projectors featuring RealLaser™ illumination technology, it is poised to become the standard for mainstream cinema,” said Lin Yu, vice president, Asia Sales, Cinema, Christie. “With nine decades of knowledge and expertise in projection technologies, Christie is well positioned to help push cinema towards the next era of innovation.”

The booth will have live demonstrations of the Christie CP2315-RGB, a 2K-resolution, 13,500-lumen RGB pure laser projector known for its compact, all-in-one form factor and low cost of ownership. Attendees can witness bright and vibrant visuals of the CP2315-RGB in a custom-built internal theater at the booth with Christie Vive Audio™, completing the cinematic experience.

Another highlight is the Christie CP4450-RGB large-format projector complete with dual-laser optical systems (LOS) and high-speed CineLife+ electronics capable of 4K @ 120Hz HFR playback. The CP4450-RGB is specially designed to deliver stunning visuals in premium large format (PLF) auditoriums for an unprecedented movie-going experience.

Also on static display is the new Christie CP4330-RGB projector. Offering over 30,000 hours of operation, the CP4330-RGB delivers 4K resolution, an expanded color gamut, and contrast ratios far exceeding the DCI specification.

Christie will also demonstrate the benefits of RealLaser technology to members of the cinema industry in Beijing with a customer event at Beijing CBD Wanda Cinemas. The program includes keynote speeches and presentations by management representatives from Christie, and a live demonstration of the CP4330-RGB.

In Asia, major exhibitors that have embraced Christie RGB laser projectors equipped with RealLaser illumination include China’s Wanda Cinema Line and Huaxia Film, Japan’s Cinema Sunshine, Taiwan’s Showtime Cinemas, Cinemark Cinema and Taiwan Innovation & Development Corporation, Australia’s Event Cinemas and HOYTS Cinemas, Thailand’s Major Cineplex, Indonesia’s Cinema 21, and the Philippines’ SM Cinema.

In North America, more than 1,000 Christie RGB laser cinema projectors are earmarked for installation in auditoriums operated by Cineworld Group, the world’s second largest cinema exhibitor, beginning with rollout to Regal screens in the United States.
