Christie Continues to Deliver Innovative Solutions for Exhibitors with New RGB Laser and Xenon Projectors

Christie® is pleased to announce that it is expanding its range of solutions for the cinema industry with the launch of new RGB pure laser and Xenon projectors. With brilliant color to engage moviegoers, and designed with advanced features to meet the needs of cinemas, the new Christie CP2420-Xe, CP4420-Xe, , CP4425-RGB and CP4435-RGB projectors offer reliable, yet affordable, projection solutions.

“Christie offers the widest range of solutions for cinemas, and we’re proud to expand our selection with the launch of four new projectors,” says Allan Fernandes, director, product management, Cinema, Christie. “Our newest projectors are based on the latest CineLife+™ cinema processing electronics including advanced features which simplify the installation and operation of our products, while simultaneously optimizing image performance to unprecedented levels for exhibition and post production. And with Real|Laser™ and Xenolite illumination technologies, cinemas can deliver an ever improving immersive moviegoing experience.”

The new CP4425-RGB and CP4435-RGB deliver 26,000 DCI lumens and 35,000 DCI lumens, respectively, for bright content on screens up to 89-feet wide. With Real|Laser illumination to engage audiences with colorful, detailed and true-to-life images, these new models offer a premium moviegoing experience for mainstream and PLF formats. Capable of providing over 50,000 hours of low maintenance performance, the CP4425-RGB and CP4435-RGB afford years of stable operation for an advanced, yet affordable, cinema solution.

Xenon models available
The Christie CP2420-Xe and CP4420-Xe projectors feature Xenolite lamps for longer lamp life, greater reliability, and a lower total cost of ownership than any previous Xenon-based projector – while delivering a flawless image that audiences expect and love.

Advanced features combine with reliability and affordability
With CineLife+, the CP2420-Xe, CP4420-Xe, CP4425-RGB and CP4435-RGB projectors include advanced features including the new, integrated Electronic Color Convergence (ECC) for perfect color alignment and LiteLOC™ for maintaining brightness over time. CineLife+ is compatible with select third-party IMBs, and its wide range of inputs not only supports all existing content formats but future-proofs the projector. Additionally, the CineLife+ RemoteUI can be used to securely control the projector via the web on all popular browsers, eliminating the need for a touch panel controller.

The new projectors are compatible with Christie Mystique™ Cinema, an auto-calibration solution for single and multi-projector systems. Christie Mystique Cinema’s auto-focus and auto-convergence features make setup and maintenance seamless and easy with the push of a button, and images stay as sharp and aligned as day- one without the additional costs of onsite servicing.

Christie solutions are on display at CinemaCon, April 25-28, in Vegas (Milano ballrooms I and V).
