Doremi's Digital Cinema Server Now Supports MPEG2 MXF-Interop Movie Playback and JPEG2000
Doremi Cinema's industry leading DCP-2000 cinema server now supports MPEG2 MXF-Interop film and pre-show content in addition to JPEG2000.
Thanks to the DCP-2000's mixed content playback, digital cinema professionals are no longer locked to just one standard. The DCP-2000 play list can now include feature films and pre-show content in both JPEG2000 and MPEG2 MXF-Interop formats.
The MPEG2 playback capability will be available at no additional cost with all new DCP-2000 orders.
Doremi Cinema was first on the market with a DCI compliant JPEG2000 cinema server. Today, Doremi Cinema continues to add advanced features to its server to keep it comfortably ahead of the competition. Some of the recent upgrades include CineLink II, Philips forensic watermarking, Thomson's NexGuard watermarking, JPEG2000 in 3D and now MPEG2 MXF-Interop playback.
Doremi Cinema has also greatly out paced the competition in server installations. Doremi Cinema currently has over 800 installed cinema servers worldwide. Its existing order log puts it on schedule to reach 2,000 server installations before the end of 2006.
