Wanda Cinema Chooses Christie Cinelife+ RBe Enhanced Laser Projectors for its Flagship Beijing Multiplex

This marks the first deployment of Christie RBe cinema projectors in China

Christie®, a leading technology innovator with more than 65 years in cinema, is pleased to announce that Wanda Cinema, China’s largest cinema operator, has chosen the CineLife+™ RBe enhanced laser projectors for its flagship multiplex in Beijing.

Located in Beijing’s central business district, CBD Wanda Cinema stands as one of the city’s premier theatre complexes, dedicated to delivering exceptional movie experiences. Featuring seven auditoriums outfitted with state-of-the-art projection and audio technologies and luxurious seating, it has become a favorite destination for film enthusiasts and a top venue for numerous movie premieres.

Two 11,000-lumen Christie CP2411-RBe projectors have been installed in the children’s auditorium (Hall 1) and the VIP auditorium (Hall 7), offering excellent visuals tailored to different audience needs. This installation marks the first deployment of CineLife+ RBe projectors in China since their official launch in April. Featuring Phazer™ illumination technology, these projectors are engineered to enhance image performance on small, high-gain screens.

To address potential keystone distortion issues caused by space constraints, Wanda Cinema has integrated Christie Mystique™ Cinema with the CP2411-RBe projectors. This advanced software ensures perfect sub-pixel alignment for projection systems within minutes, delivering stunning 2D and 3D presentations. Mystique Cinema adapts to any auditorium configuration, considering booth size and projection requirements, to deliver the best image quality for audiences.

With 2K resolution and brightness ranging from 6,000 to 11,000 lumens, the DCI-compliant RBe projectors are designed to make a significant impact in small auditoriums. In addition to Phazer illumination, the new CineLife+2K™ electronics introduced ensure quick and easy setup with auto-configuration features. Additionally, integrated proprietary electronic color convergence (ECC) provides perfect lateral color alignment, a feature unique to the CineLife+ Series of projectors.

Since 2009, Wanda Cinema has successfully operated nearly 6,000 Christie projectors nationwide, ushering in an era of growth and flourishing development.
