Barco, the leader in laser-powered cinema solutions, today announced an expansion of its long-standing relationship with Omniplex Cinema Group, a renowned leader in theatrical experiences across Ireland and the United Kingdom.
As part of the new partnership, Barco will directly equip Omniplex with its complete line-up of Laser by Barco solutions, including the award-winning Barco Series 4 Laser family, Laser Light Upgrades for Barco Series 2 that extend the lifetime of older projectors, and Barco media servers for integrated operations. The new deal includes upgrading existing locations to laser and equipping new builds across Omniplex’s theaters to deliver an elevated viewing experience for its audiences.
Omniplex has been a cinema leader across Europe since its founding in 1991 by The Anderson family, with more than 40 sites throughout Ireland and, more recently, the U.K. Poised for continued growth, the company recently expanded, adopting and refurbishing existing sites in the U.K. The innovative chain has been working with Barco for its projection needs since the advent of digital cinema and was an early adopter of Barco’s Laser Light Upgrades to rapidly enhance the quality of their presentations while also realizing operational savings and greater efficiency.
