At ISE 2010 from February 2-4, DVS will demonstrate its innovative high-performance solutions for the play-out of presentation content. Visitors to booth 1H100 will experience two of DVS’s most powerful solutions for presentation: VENICE and CLIPSTER®, which enhance presentation applications in formats ranging from SD to uncompressed 4K.
The multi-channel video server VENICE provides fast, consistent workflows with all common compressed and uncompressed video formats. Enabling real-time capture and play-out of Avid DNxHD®, Panasonic DVCPRO®, AVC-Intra 50 and 100, as well as Sony XDCAM® material, various data formats can be converted on-the-fly and distributed in a production environment. With its multi-channel capability, VENICE also supports parallel processing of SD and HD projects.
VENICE, equipped with an easy-to-use remote user interface for Windows®, Mac OS®, and Linux®, offers an open file system structure supporting all SAN interfaces. The remote GUI is both an efficient and effective tool; users can control VENICE from any place in the facility, conveniently coordinating the playback program. Play lists let users freely define the sequence of clips as well as to save and load them into VENICE for further processing. With four independent channel pairs and intelligent global presets, VENICE is as advanced as it is user-friendly, positioning itself as the core of a distribution environment.
CLIPSTER®, the DVS flagship, consists of a robust feature set including conforming, editing, color correction, and versioning in resolutions up to uncompressed 4K in real time. Supporting over 100 graphic file formats, CLIPSTER® also handles all QuickTime® formats such as Windows Media®, MXF, MPEG 1 and 2, and even JPEG2000. Praised for its flexibility and openness, CLIPSTER® enables the use of a multitude of video and data formats, and has proven itself in the areas of video processing and digital cinema.
CLIPSTER® lets AV professionals unlock the door to 3D. Processing 3D projects by merging left eye and right eye image data together, CLIPSTER® creates a stereoscopic video track in the timeline that can be edited as regular video material. Moreover, the DI workstation has the ability to create 3D DCPs in high speed.
“Our established DVS systems meet the AV market’s requirements for future-proof tapeless workflows,” says Norbert Paefgen, Sales Director – Key Accounts. “At ISE 2010, we will showcase how DVS implements sophisticated presentation workflows and how we can support AV professionals in every possible way.”
On the cusp of its 25th anniversary, DVS reflects on an impressive history of innovation and international success. In 2009, DVS received three prestigious awards, including the coveted Hollywood Post Alliance’s Engineering Excellence Award.
