Dickinson Theatres Accelerates Digitalization By Deploying with GDC Digital Cinema Servers
GDC Technology ("GDC Tech"), a world leading digital cinema solution provider, is pleased to announce today that it is deploying 210 GDC digital cinema servers to Dickinson Theatres ("Dickinson"), a privately owned movie theatre chain operating 18 theatres with 210 screens in seven states.
Dickinson has been entertaining moviegoers in the Midwest for 90 years in Arkansas, Arizona, Kansas, Missouri, Nebraska, Oklahoma and Texas where it provides motion picture excellence with quality presentations and superior customer service. Cinedigm (NASDAQ: CIDM), the global leader in digital cinema conversion programs, is responsible for structuring and implementing the underlying Virtual Print Fee ("VPF") agreement enabling Dickinson’s conversion to digital cinema, as well as assuming the entire administrative responsibility of the VPF program. Ballantyne Strong as the system integrator is providing the NEC projectors and the GDC servers for Dickinson’s digital deployment.
