CineSur Circuito
Sánchez-Ramade, a family owned cinema circuit and the most prominent Spanish
cinema chain based in Andalucia, has concluded an agreement for the deployment
and installation of digital projection systems to all its screens.
CineSur Circuito
Sánchez-Ramade operates 125 screens located in 11 different cinemas amongst
which count some of the most visited in Spain. This deployment is being done in
partnership with Proyecson and Ymagis, the European deployment entity leader in
France, Spain, Germany and the Benelux.
With this landmark
agreement, the Spanish cinema exhibition market continues to move towards full
digitisation, under distributors’ Virtual Print Fee (VPF) agreements managed by
Ymagis. CineSur Circuito Sánchez-Ramade will have all of its screens converted
to digital in a short period of time, showing its commitment to provide the
best possible experience to its audiences.
Proyecson, the Valencia-based
installation company with delegations in several Spanish cities, will be
responsible for the installation of digital systems consisting of NEC
projectors and Doremi IMBs, in CineSur Circuito Sánchez-Ramade’s cinemas. Proyecson
has played a key role in securing the participation of NEC in this deployment.
CineSur Circuito
Sánchez-Ramade’s management has gone through a long and careful process to
restructure its cinemas’ operations and to find the ideal partners for their
digitization. With Proyecson, NEC and Ymagis, CineSur Circuito Sánchez-Ramade
will enjoy a seamless transition and will benefit from all the advantages provided
by the digital projection technologies, such as flexibility and optimization of the operations.
Juan José de Dios, CineSur
Circuito Sánchez-Ramade’s MD said: “After a long time debating how to convert
our cinemas, we found in Proyecson, NEC and Ymagis, a complete solution ideally
designed for our circuit. This agreement will ensure that we continue to
program our cinemas as we have done for many years. Whilst we will able to
provide to our audiences all the content they expect to find in our cinemas, we
will have the opportunity to offer them the latest technology, knowing we have an
extensive network of support behind.”
