Quanta DGT has initiated a conversion program across Brazil that includes an initial installation of 193 Doremi Integrated Media Blocks (IMB) and Integrated Media Servers (IMS) units throughout multiple theater circuits. The units will be shipped for installation in Q4 of this year. Furthermore, over 900 screens are expected to be fitted with Doremi IMB and IMS units confirming Doremi’s position as the most advanced, reliable digital cinema technology in the world.
This installation will include both the IMB/ShowVault and the IMS1000, which features a single board solution that combines SMS, storage and media block. The IMB/ShowVault and IMS1000 include all of the software features of Doremi’s existing DCP series, and utilize Doremi’s patented technology for superior 2K and 4K playback.
“Latin America is a rapidly growing Digital Cinema market and as the global leader in server technology, Doremi is the preferred and most qualified supplier for that market. We are looking forward to our collaboration in providing the highest quality and most reliable products to the region,” stated Luiz Fernando Morau, Vice President of Sales and Marketing Quanta DGT.
“The initiation of this program across Brazil is a result of our success in other parts of South America,” said Michael Archer, VP Digital Cinema, Doremi. “Reliability is crucial as the industry here makes its way through this era of digital change. As Quanta continues this integration program we are also committed to providing the support necessary to see success in every location.”
