Nordisk Film Distribution A/S
has signed an agreement with Unique Digital Ltd. for electronic delivery of feature film
content across the Nordic Countries of Norway, Sweden, Denmark
and Finland.
“With Unique’s network now covering all
countries in the Nordic region, they are the natural choice for the delivery of
our content and encryption keys. After trialling Unique’s Movie
Transit™ system, we’ve found the
solution provides us with the speed and flexibility we need.” says Klaus Odegaard, Nordic Marketing Director in
Nordisk Film Distribution.
Under this agreement; more than 880 cinemas in Norway, Sweden, Denmark
and Finland will be able to receive all of Nordisk Film’s DCP
feature film content via Unique Digital’s
market leading delivery solution, Movie Transit™.
Movie Transit™
is the first electronic point-to-point
distribution system for DCP feature films. Initially deployed nationwide in Norway in 2012, the
solution was recently selected by the Danish Distributors Association (FAFID) for
deployment across Denmark. Unique Digital has subsequently created
Movie Transit™ networks in Sweden
and Finland, as well as the UK and Ireland. The network today spans over 1500 cinemas in Europe, making it
the world’s largest terrestrial delivery network for DCP feature film content.
