Kline’s induction ceremony took place at a special gala luncheon held on October 17, the final day of ShowEast 2019.

The Ken Mason Award honors an individual who has made outstanding long-term contributions leading to the overall improvement of the motion picture experience. Samsung Electronics has appointed Alain Chamaillard as its European Director of Cinema.

Samsung Electronics has appointed Alain Chamaillard as its European Director of Cinema. 

Alain is a widely respected cinema technology professional, having worked in the industry for the last 25 years. This is a new role to Samsung, brought about by the dual businesses objectives of refining the go to market strategy and increasing sales of Samsung Cinema (Onyx range). Bringing a wealth of experience to the organization his vast experience will provide a unique perspective and skill set that is expected to benefit the organization’s mission and objectives.

“ I am honoured to join Samsung in this exciting new role, where I will spearhead strategic initiatives to drive innovative solutions and make, hopefully, a significant impact on the Cinema industry” says Alain. Over the coming months Alain will work closely with Samsung’s Partners, Systems Integrators, Exhibitors and Industry bodies.
