NEC Announces Newest Addition to Starus DLP Cinema Projector Family
New STARUS NC1600C Digital Cinema Projector Provides Stunning Images for Improved Viewing Experiences at a Lower Cost
NEC Corporation of America, a premier provider of IT, network, storage and storage software solutions, today introduced the STARUS™ NC1600C DLP Cinema® projector to its family of digital cinema projectors. NEC’s STARUS NC1600C ensures that midsize theatres with screens from 26 to 49 feet wide have a cost-effective, high quality projector with the latest technologies designed specifically for their requirements.

NEC's STARUS NC1600C digital cinema projector delivers high quality visual output and is easy to operate. Managers are able to set the lens position and lamp output using memory functions, and technicians can perform lamp changes quickly from the back of projector. The new NC1600C projector also includes removable handles, which are the first-ever design to address the convenience and ease of transporting the projector. Additional state-of-the-art features include auto-lamp brightness control, compatibility with most standard film projector lamps, and optional touch-screen control.
The complete family of STARUS digital cinema projectors also includes the STARUS NC2500S, the world’s brightest DLP Cinema projector for large-sized screens tested up to 82 feet wide, and the NC800C, the world’s smallest and lightest DLP projector for smaller theatres, screening rooms, and post-production facilities with screen sizes up to 28 feet wide.
The NC1600C will be available world-wide in September 2007.
