GDC Technology (“GDC”), a world leading digital cinema solution provider announced today the successful integration of its SX-2000A Digital Cinema Server and Integrated Media Block, and SX-2001A Digital Cinema Server, with ADDE’s Theatre Management System (TMS) EyeCab™ software.
This partnership is one of GDC’s first large scale integration programs across Europe. The integration significantly improves both product performance and interoperability options for exhibitors undergoing digital conversion.
ADDE, a major TMS developer in France, specializes in the manufacturing and installation of film projection equipment. With over 30 years experience in this industry, ADDE is well established in providing a smooth integration program for exhibitors. ADDE’s latest TMS EyeCab™ equips exhibitors with a number of modules that centralize and simplify the entire operation of a theatre. These include a number of tools which efficiently manage weekly show schedules, playlists in digital or 35mm (or a combination of both), KDM delivery, and the overall management of server operations.
Additionally, there are three major software devices incorporated in ADDE’s TMS which further ease operations for exhibitors. The Supervision device allows the exhibitor to track the running of the shows and other devices such as projectors or servers. The Calendar device facilitates the quick creation of daily or weekly show schedules. The Playlist Maker eases the creation of playlists where content is easily selected from a library, and can be exchanged between servers.
Under this partnership GDC’s servers not only increase in technical diversity but also achieve fluency in several languages as ADDE’s TMS can be translated into any desired language. Such features and management tools of ADDE’s TMS, in conjunction with GDC’s wide range of digital cinema servers, enable users to smoothly manage cinema operations with great cost effectiveness and high system reliability.
“GDC servers are the obvious choice for us, as feature rich products they allow ADDE’s TMS to be utilized to its full potential; we are extremely happy with the successful integration,” said Didier Rosset, President of ADDE. “Exhibitors have benefitted immensely from this marriage with overall costs significantly reduced and cinema operation much improved.”
“We are honored to be collaborating with a superior TMS software developer at such an early stage of our expansion into Europe,” said Dr. Man-Nang Chong, founder and CEO of GDC Technology “This strategic alliance not only improves the overall technical efficiency of products and reduces operating costs for theater owners, but also reinforces GDC’s confidence for our future growth in Europe.”
