Cielo and Qalif Join Forces to Offer the Highest Level of Projection Quality Management in the Market
Qalif technology now integrated within Cielo’s monitoring platform
Cielo, the leading cloud-based
monitoring and support platform for the cinema industry, announced a new
partnership to integrate Qalif’s cutting-edge screen measurement and
calibration technology with Cielo’s full range of digital management
capabilities. This new alliance provides theater owners and integrators
unsurpassed visibility and control of their operations while ensuring
exceptional projection quality in their auditoriums.
The move
marks a new era of end-to-end digital innovation in the industry as
Cielo combines its superior real-time analytics and reporting features with
Qalif’s ultimate projection measurement technology which includes light
uniformity, contrast, color calibration, projector focus and dual projector
alignment. Qalif was developed by Highlands Technologies Solutions (HTS), while
Harkness Screens owns the worldwide exclusive license to the technology.
The alliance
between Cielo and Qalif allows greater operational efficiency and high-caliber
image and sound optimization, resulting in an exceptional audiovisual
experience for the movie audience.
“Our
industry is constantly driven by the latest innovation in technology, so we
must continue to evolve our business by anticipating our customer’s needs and
enhancing the moviegoer’s experience,” said Guillermo Younger Jr., Cielo
Founder. “This partnership with Qalif now allows us to ensure optimal screen
up-time and the most stunning cinema projection within the range of operations supported
by Cielo’s advanced mobile management
capabilities and
real-time monitoring solutions.”
In order to optimize screen projection, Qalif software
can dynamically adjust the equipment settings such as focus and luminance, or
alert the user when measurements are outside of set parameters. The integration with Cielo improves
efficiency and offers greater visibility into systems operations by
centralizing activity reports with other theater equipment. Qalif also provides
audio measurement and control for 5.1, 7.1,
and Dolby Atmos® sound systems.
“The
fusion of Qalif and Cielo technologies provides a quantitative and more
accurate approach to improving projection quality, and sets new standards for
our industry,” said Patrick Zucchetta, CEO at HTS. “We are very
pleased to count on an industry-leading ally like CE+S to undertake this
important milestone.”
