Panasonic, the brand name of Matsushita Electric Industrial Co., Ltd., boasts 1,200 installations of DLP™ projectors in various cinema theaters worldwide. With an increasing number of installations, Panasonic now leads in the field of providing DLP™ driven projectors for cinema applications.
With large orders of Panasonic DLP™ projectors from various locations, such as Europe, India, China, and Korea, the total number of DLP projector installations has already reached 1,200 units, and is expected to grow substantially over the next few years.
Panasonic supplies three types of DLP™ projectors to cinema theaters: PT-D7700 -- 3 panel DLPTM,1400 x 1050 resolution, 7000 lumens of brightness and 4000:1*1 contrast ratio; PT-DW7000 -- 3 panel DLP™, 1366 x 768 resolution, 6000 lumens of brightness, and 4000:1*1 contrast ratio; and PT-D5500-- single panel DLP™, 1024 x 768 resolution, 5000 lumens of brightness, and 1600:1*1contrast ratio.
