Panasonic Celebrates Supplying Over 2,500 DLP™-Based Projectors Installed in Cinema Theaters Worldwide
Panasonic, the brand name of Matsushita Electric Industrial Co., Ltd., boasts 2,500 installations of DLP™ projectors in cinema theaters worldwide. With an increasing number of installations, Panasonic now leads in the field of providing DLP™-based projectors for cinema applications.
With large orders of Panasonic DLP™ projectors from various locations, such as Europe, India, China, and Korea, the total number of DLP projector installations has already reached 2,500 units, and is expected to grow substantially over the next few years.
Panasonic supplies four types of DLP™ projectors to cinema theaters: PT-D7700 -- 3 panel DLP™, 1400 x 1050 resolution, 7,000 lumens of brightness and 4,000:1*1 contrast ratio; PT-DW7000 – 3 panel DLP™, 1366 x 768 resolution, 6,000 lumens of brightness, and 4,000:1*1 contrast ratio; and PT-D5600 – single panel DLP™, 1024 x 768 resolution, 5,000 lumens of brightness, and 2,000:1*1 contrast ratio; PT-DW5000 – single panel DLPTM, 1280 x 768 resolution, 4,500 lumens of brightness, and 2,000:1*1 contrast ratio.
