X, is excited to announce the acquisition of the content delivery services of Diagonalfilm,
Switzerland’s market-leading theatrical content services company.
Highly respected digital cinema vendor Diagonalfilm has delivered content on behalf of the Swiss distribution market for ten years servicing 225 cinemas and 461 screens in the territory. Diagonalfilm will maintain its mastering and localisation services, while Unique X acquires the Digital Cinema Package content delivery network and KDM services. With dedicated Swiss personnel, Unique X will ensure that Swiss & International Film Distributors enjoy the same great service they’ve always enjoyed from Diagonalfilm, combined with Unique X’s market-leading innovation and service. Unique X and Diagonalfilm will continue to work in close partnership to service the Swiss distributor market ensuring a seamless end-to-end service while improving efficiency and automation through the Unique X technology platform.

This recent addition to Unique X's Movie Transit network of over 3000 theatres across 20 territories, further strengthens Unique X as a market leader within the content delivery space. Unique X will continue to offer an open platform working with all content owners and service providers, leveraging its market-leading technology and automated services including open APIs, exhibitor booking platform and KDM generation services.
This new partnership will also bring Unique X’s leading software solutions to cinemas in Switzerland to include: the feature-rich TMS solution Rosetta Bridge, Smart Trailering – the highly regarded trailer planning and reporting tool and Basekey, for the automated delivery of all KDM’s directly to screens. In addition, this partnership is an opportunity for content owners and cinemas to connect the low-cost open streaming IP platform for event cinema, Rosetta Live, in the Swiss market.
