Dutch FilmWorks signs up to Technicolor’s MediAffinity
Benelux’s largest film and TV distributor agrees significant media services contract
Technicolor (Euronext Paris: TCH) today announces an exclusive contract with distributor Dutch FilmWorks to provide media services through MediAffinity - Technicolor’s hosted, collaborative digital asset management and workflow solution.
Services provided to Dutch FilmWorks, the largest independent film and home entertainment distributor in the Netherlands, will include tape and file-based ingest, asset storage and management for metadata and subtitles, compression and authoring, subtitling and delivery to eleven platforms, including iTunes.
The distributor is a long-standing Technicolor partner, with the MediAffinity agreement being an extension of the existing Technicolor Home Entertainment Services contract for disc replication and distribution.
“We chose Technicolor for its proven ability to deliver and service to some of the world’s largest companies, and in this space, the market leader” says René van Turnhout, COO of Dutch FilmWorks. “Our relationship with Technicolor has shown us that while the company provides the best automation on the market, it still provides the human factor, responding to our needs timely and efficiently.”
“We are delighted to extend our partnership with Dutch FilmWorks. The decision to expand its range of services through Technicolor is testament to the solutions and best-in-class service we offer,” said Claude Gagnon, President, Technicolor Creative Services Worldwide. “MediAffinity will offer Dutch FilmWorks the flexibility and scalability they require, grounded in Technicolor’s expert knowledge and speed of service.”
