Cinemeccanica during the recent CineEurope 2014 introduced
officially to the market the new Laser Source Cinecloud™ Lux,
designed for both new and existing DLP projectors (retrofit).
This solution allows to get higher brightness and wider range of colors
never seen before on the screen for 2D and 3D projections, making images more
vivid and clear.It is a modular solution to provide from
15,000 to 55,000 lumens out on the screen, ensuring some principal features:
- Fiber coupled RGB modules;
- Dimmable light output (easy
moving from 2D to 3D shows);
- Estimated lifetime 20,000 hours (10,000 under warranty);
- Speckle reducer device
built in;
- Extended chromaticity
in comparison with a standard Xenon Bulb;
- Perception of an higher
light power in comparison with the equivalent Xenon projection;
- Secured rack-like box
for preventing injuries while working or making maintenance;
- Remotely controlled and GPIO for managing commands from
digital servers or from any existing automation systems;
- Reduction of power
consumption up to 50% in comparison with the equivalent Xenon Bulb;
- Maintenance free unit.
Pier Carlo Ottoni, Cinemeccanica Sales Director says: “We had
two days full of demonstrations that confirm the market is interested at this
retrofitting solution, able to increase the images quality shown on the screen
and to allow to save recurrent costs in comparing with a digital projector
powered by a Xenon lamp. We have a real case history in IMG Cinemas (Venice
Mestre) where our laser system is successfully working from last December and
we are very happy in term of requested received during CineEurope and we expect
to deliver the first laser systems before the end of this year”.
