Sony Europe is delighted to confirm the appointment of
Omega Cinema Systems as an official dealer for Sony Digital Cinema 4K
projection systems in Turkey.
The new appointment has already been marked by Omega’s first market success
as a Sony Digital Cinema official Turkish dealer. Omega is supplying 14 of
Sony’s acclaimed SRX-R510P and SRX-R515P 4K projection systems and Sony TMS Theatre Management Systems into A’City and Park Vera, two new shopping malls in
the capital Ankara. Installation begins in mid-October, with completion
scheduled by the beginning of November this year.
Izmit-based Omega has provided a wide range of technology, installation and
support services to the Turkish cinema industry for over 16 years.

Annual revenues for Turkey’s box office are
worth over €180 million annually, and the total number of screens – currently around
2,000 countrywide – is growing at around 10% year on year. Much of this growth
is being generated by explosive demand for brand-new screens in Turkey’s urban
regions, including retail and leisure centres in Ankara, Istanbul and their
environs.
