More2Screen has been appointed by Eagle Rock Entertainment to distribute a legendary Queen concert event, Queen: A Night in Bohemia, specially restored and re-mixed for the big screen with Dolby Atmos® sound, and coming to cinemas worldwide (ex. UK) for the very first time from 28 February 2016.
This special theatrical release follows the 40th anniversary of Bohemian Rhapsody and showcases the first ever live recording of this record-breaking song. The cinema event also includes a never-before-seen documentary featuring archive footage and interviews with all four members of the band, and offering an illuminating insight into the game-changing year of 1975.
Filmed live on Christmas Eve 1975 at the Hammersmith Odeon in London, and bringing to a climax the most eventful and exciting year so far in the band’s career, this ground-breaking concert was transmitted live on BBC Two’s Old Grey Whistle Test and captured the band firing on all cylinders as they performed breakthrough hits like Killer Queen, Liar,Keep Yourself Alive and Now I'm Here, as well as the now monumental classic Bohemian Rhapsody. It sealed Queen’s transition from ambitious upstarts into one of the biggest and most important bands of the era – and beyond.
Christine Costello, Managing Director, More2Screen comments: "Following on from the huge worldwide success of our previous Queen theatrical releases, Hungarian Rhapsody: Queen Live In Budapest and Queen Rock Montreal, we’re delighted to offer our cinema partners a third concert movie event from one of the world’s greatest bands. This is the first Queen concert to be re-mixed with Dolby Atmos® sound, taking the Queen cinema experience to a completely new level.”
Peter Worsley, Managing Director, Digital and Production, Eagle Rock Entertainment says: “With their impressive track record in distributing music content to their cinema partners across the globe, More2Screen is ideally placed to realise the full potential of this superbly restored and re-mixed Queen concert movie.”
