Qube Cinema is happy to announce the appointment of Lewis Thorne to handle Qube Wire Operations for Australia, New Zealand, and Fiji. This is in addition to his role as a Technical Support Specialist.
Lewis Thorne will be focusing on Qube Wire operations expansion in the region. In the past 6 months, he has installed Qube WireTAPs in over 45 locations in Australia and New Zealand through which over 345 content deliveries have been facilitated, this includes 214 advertisements sent to theatres. In the pipeline is the installation of Qube WireTAP in around 30 locations in the coming weeks. The feather in our cap has been that over 100 deliveries made for Sun Short Film Festival through Qube WireTAP alone.
"We are very excited that Lewis has formally become a member of the Qube team. As our operations in Australia kept growing, I wanted to give our customers dedicated in-country support. Lewis' familiarity with our company and products and his deep knowledge of the distribution landscape in Australia made him the obvious choice." Says Mark Waterston, Senior Vice President, Qube Wire.
To consolidate the Qube Wire presence in the region, Lewis is in discussions with Theatre Companies and Classification Boards to get the Qube WireTAPs rolling in all major chains and independent cinemas. This will strengthen our presence in the region in which Qube Wire has done more than over 4500 content deliveries to theatres, for over 250 titles, averaging 5 releases a week. We have been also been technical partners with the Indian Film Festival of Melbourne and Sun Short Film Festival.
Speaking on the opportunities in this region, Lewis Thorne says, “We’re excited to see things growing so quickly in Australia, New Zealand, and Fiji. Qube Wires Exhibitor/Distributer portal has impressed and excited me to join the project. The portal creates a simple and efficient work flow for content. Simply book it, track it and deliver.”
