Qube Cinema is delighted to announce the appointment of Alan Christensen as the Head of Business Development, spearheading Qube Wire’s digital distribution initiatives across North America. In his new role, Alan will focus on enhancing domestic integration strategies for Qube Wire’s cloud-based distribution solution, while collaborating with the leadership team to identify and drive long-term global growth opportunities.
With a career spanning over two decades, Alan, the former Chief Executive Officer of Digital Cinema United (“DCU"), brings unparalleled experience to Qube Wire’s growing team. During his tenure at Deluxe in the early 2000s, he contributed to the migration from film to digital distribution. At 20th Century Fox, Alan spearheaded innovative workflows that helped transition the studio from 35mm releases to DCP formats and those that drove the adoption of 3D.
Speaking on his new role, Alan said, "I’m beyond excited to join a technology company like Qube Cinema that is revolutionizing the distribution services space with Qube Wire. Our industry suffers from antiquated workflows operated through habit, and Qube Wire is breaking down this barrier by offering tech services at affordable rates with tools designed to empower its clients.”
Alan joins at a pivotal time for Qube Wire, when it has connected over 5400 cinemas globally and continues to expand its reach. His leadership is expected to accelerate the company’s efforts to connect more theatres with diverse content worldwide.
Mark Waterston, Executive Vice President of Qube Wire, expressed his enthusiasm: “I feel lucky to have found Alan at just the right time. Qube Wire is poised for dramatic growth, and Alan is the perfect person to introduce our efficient and customer-centric service to more customers in North America. Together we will create an even better solution for distributors and exhibitors in North America and around the world.”
