Celebration Automates Operations Circuit Wide with GDC Software

Celebration Cinema Selects GDC TMS-2000 to Streamline the Chains Workflow and Help Reduce Cost

GDC Technology America, LLC (‘GDC’), a leading provider of digital cinema solutions for the Americas, announced today that Celebration Cinema selected GDC TMS Theatre Management System (TMS-2000) to replace its legacy system at all 11 sites with 146 screens. After successfully testing at two locations, the popular Michigan-based circuit chose TMS-2000 for the entire circuit. The deployment of TMS-2000 will be managed by Entertainment Supply & Technologies (ES&T) over the next 12 months.

“Studio C is committed to constantly investing in the latest time-saving tools to improve efficiency and reduce costs,” said Jesse Forquer, director of technology. “We rely on our vendor partners, such as GDC to provide automation technologies to lower the possibility of human error. GDC’s software was selected for its user-friendly user interface and US-based support team’s reputation for providing outstanding technical and customer services, but most importantly, it allows our management teams to concentrate on the guest experience.”

Studio C (formerly known as Loeks Theatres, Inc.) owns and operates the Michigan-based Celebration Cinema theatre chain. The company is headquartered in Grand Rapids, Michigan, and was founded in 1944. Today, the company operates 11 theatre locations with 146 screens and is best known for appealing to moviegoers with the latest presentation technologies and premium amenities, including IMAX, C Premium, heated recliners and expanded food and beverage offerings. Its theatres serve the cities and surrounding areas of Grand Rapids, Lansing, Muskegon, Benton Harbor and St. Joseph, Portage and Kalamazoo, and Mount Pleasant. An average of three million customers see movies annually through Studio C's Celebration Cinema locations.
