On November 17th at 8pm (all time zones) hall of fame rock icons The Who will unleash one of their most legendary filmed live performances, The Who: Live At Kilburn: 1977, engaging thousands of rock and movie fans across the country in a once-in-a-lifetime digital cinema multiple-city theatrical premiere of the acclaimed movie in spectacular Hi-Def. D&E will be rolling out the digital premieres in 75+ select theatres across the U.S. including New York, Chicago, Las Vegas, and Houston among others.
Legendary lead-singer and co-founder, Roger Daltrey of The Who, will appear at the Los Angeles HD theatrical premiere on Monday, November 10th, participating in a question and answer session with Spitfire Pictures’ Nigel Sinclair at the much anticipated event.

The historic film is considered a masterpiece of The Who canon. Now mastered in Hi-Def, the December 15th, 1977 Kilburn show at the Gaumont State Theater in North London was recorded before a select audience for Jeff Stein’s hit film about The Who, The Kids Are Alright, but with only a few brief selections of what would prove to be legendary drummer Keith Moon’s final public appearance.
Originally captured on 35mm with six cameras and a 16-track audio recorder, this complete Kilburn show captures the authentic Who experience, featuring the prolific drummer and the rest of the band’s original lineup, guitarist/singer Pete Townshend, singer Roger Daltrey, and bassist John Entwistle, On November 18th, The Who: At Kilburn:1977, will also be released as a two-disc DVD and single disc Blu-Ray set. Included in the much anticipated release is another never-before-seen show and a band favorite, their 1969 London Coliseum performance, packaged with additional bonus tracks and the first-ever full live recording of their seminal rock opera, Tommy.
Currently on tour through November 2008, The Who are considered one of the true trailblazers in the history of rock music, and are inductees of the Rock and Roll hall Of Fame and the UK Music Hall Of Fame. Most recently, the band was honored with the first annual Freddie Mercury Lifetime Achievement Award and a Grammy Foundation Award for their creative contributions of outstanding artistic significance to the field of recording. It was also announced that Pete Townshend and Roger Daltrey will be given lifetime achievement awards at the Kennedy Center Honors on December 7th, 2008.
