D&E Entertainment Distribute and Market Digital Cinema Theatrical Premiere of Avenged Sevenfold’s “All Excess” Release
D&E Entertainment Utilizes Digital Cinema Technology and Comprehensive Marketing Campaign to Create a Unique Viewing Experience and Marketing Strategy for Musical Content
On the eve of the release of Warner Bros. Records’ Avenged Sevenfold’s first ever DVD, D&E Entertainment (www.DandEentertainment.com) will market and distribute the digital cinema theatrical premiere of All Excess on July 16th at 8pm in select U.S. cities. This special event will occur in theatres in Los Angeles, St. Louis, San Diego, Detroit, Phoenix, New Jersey, and Huntington Beach, CA. Exhibitors include: Mann Theatres, UltraStar Cinemas, Emagine Entertainment, Clearview Cinemas, Landmark Theatres, Regency and Harkins Cinemas.
The Event provides the perfect platform as Avenged Sevenfold celebrates the release of All Excess on July 17th. With the DVD release, the band treats their fans to something more than just a collection of videos or live performances (although both of those are present here). With the release of All Excess, A7X offer a rare glimpse into their roots, what it's like to live on the road for thirteen months and documents how the band have been able to forge such a strong relationship with their army of fans.
"This DVD has been eight years in the making," says A7X frontman M. Shadows. "We didn't want to cheat the fans by putting out a standard live DVD. Instead we wanted to focus on giving back to our fans by showing them what makes five best friends from Huntington Beach eat, sleep and breathe the Avenged Sevenfold lifestyle. All Excess shows everything from life backstage, on the bus, and some of the first shows in our hometown. We didn't leave anything off that fans have been asking about for years. Unlike cookie-cutter concert DVDs, this is a documentary you can watch again and again for years to come."
To further enhance the event, a number of limited edition, autographed movie posters will be given away to a few lucky fans in each theatre as well as available for sale in the lobby. Brand new merchandise and advanced purchase of the DVD will also be available in theatre lobbies.
Evan Saxon, Co-President of D&E Entertainment said, “After seeing Avenged Sevenfold perform live and learning of the band’s dedication to their fans, we are very pleased to be a part of this Theatrical Event. For the first time and in a very limited release fans will have an inside look at Avenged Sevenfold as presented on the big screen.”
Other artists who have selected D&E to Premiere their films include: Slipknot, Bruce Springsteen, Bob Marley, Duran Duran, Morrissey, The Grateful Dead, My Morning Jacket, O.A.R., Iron Maiden.
Look for D&E to distribute Bob Marley’s ‘Live At The Rainbow’ in theatres later this year.
