Deluxe Digital Cinema, a subsidiary of MacAndrews & Forbes, has expanded its already close working relationship with leading French entertainment business Éclair Group.
The initial relationship was formed in February 2013, when Éclair became Deluxe’s French vendor partner for hard-drive replication. In May 2013, Éclair began providing representation in France for Deluxe’s new theatrical electronic delivery service—Deluxe Connect, which in France is branded as Éclair Box. Supported by HP, the service continues to be rolled out across the country. The latest agreement expands the companies’ relationship to cover other areas of theatrical distribution, including hard-drive remediation for the electronic delivery
The new multi-service agreement also strengthens the partnership by allowing Deluxe and Éclair to cover a much wider range of shared services. The partnership is expected to create a number of other creative and media opportunities in commercials, broadcast and on-demand entertainment. Deluxe and Éclair will share technical and market information and place much emphasis in 2014 on both skills and training within France and the U.K.
