Bardan Cinema, a full-service cinema distributor and digital integrator offering a turnkey portfolio of products and services to build out, enhance and maintain cinemas throughout the Americas, has completed two new state-of-the-art entertainment venues with Silverspot Cinema. The Chapel Hill, NC location had the grand opening of its 13 screens for October 22 while Coconut Creek, Fla. opened its 11 screens on May 15.
For both properties, Bardan provided full design, configuration and installation of the state-ofthe-art digital audio and projection systems featuring a TMS/Monitoring System. The company also configured and installed the Barco Lobby Experience, a collection of captivating visualization technologies that bring the box office, concessions and lobby area to life.
“We are proud to team up with Silverspot Cinema to create some of the nation’s most innovative entertainment venues,” said Vilma Benitez, CEO of Bardan Cinema. “Today’s consumer is looking to be wowed with superior visuals, sound, comfort and dining options, and Silverspot definitely hit the mark.”
In addition to the sound, projection and digital signage, Bardan is providing its comprehensive 24/7 monitoring and remote support platform, assuring Silverspot optimal equipment performance with minimal downtime.
“We are excited to bring our concept and entertainment venue destination to North Carolina and South Florida with what we believe is the best place in town to see a movie,” said Francisco Schlotterbeck, chief executive officer of Silverspot Cinema. “Working with the Bardan team has been a pleasure. We look forward to building on our long-term relationship.”
Coconut Creek and Chapel Hill Silverspot locations share many of the same amenities and technology including stylish interior design, extra-large hand-stitched leather seats with cup holders and trays for dining and of course, reserved seating. Both theaters feature the latest sound and projection technology and diverse, compelling programming showcasing independent and foreign films as well as exclusive screenings of operas, ballets, concerts, theatre and local film festivals. The theaters also feature unique food and beverage choices created by the renowned David Burke Group. Its fully integrated Trilogy restaurant concept accommodates up to 120 guests in addition to a lobby lounge area and bar.
In May, the Promenade in Coconut Creek opened to enthusiastic crowds selling more than 35,000 tickets in the first six weeks, confirming Silverspot’s proof of concept.
Bardan will be working with Silverspot on additional locations including Beachwood, Ohio (winter 2016) and Downtown Miami, Florida at the Met (early 2017). Silverspot is actively pursuing LEED certification for its projects.
