GDC Technology Limited, a leading global provider of digital cinema solutions, announced today that CMX Cinemas selected the company’s robust Theatre Management System (TMS) for the entire circuit. CMX Cinemas is one of the top 10 theatre circuits in the United States and operates 318 screens at 29 sites in eight states such as Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Minnesota, North Carolina, Ohio, and Virginia.
The agreement involves the deployment of the
GDC TMS-2000, which is the industry’s first theatre management system. GDC has the largest digital cinema media servers and TMS installation base in the Pacific Asia region and the second largest globally.
“At CMX, we base our partnerships on their reliable products, customer service, and trust. We firmly believe GDC is one of the most trusted names in the cinema industry”, said Patrick Ryan, chief executive officer of CMX Cinemas. “We selected GDC’s theatre management system based upon GDC’s exceptional post-sales support, history of innovation, reliable products, and passion to improve the experience for our guests.”
CMX introduced its first multiplex in the United States in April 2017 and is known for introducing new innovations to provide the best possible moviegoing experience at all its cinemas. CMX has always strived to offer moviegoers outstanding customer service, value, and enjoyment based on its continuous evolution. This agreement provides CMX with centralized control over the entire circuit by automating and streamlining booth operations.
“We’re delighted to build on our partnership with CMX Cinemas,” said Paul Marcot, vice president of sales for the GDC North American region. “CMX has been a valued partner since 2017. By selecting GDC from the possible candidates, CMX managers will be able to monitor and control booth operations from a single point to help them achieve their mission of being the best at entertaining people.”
